Information

Selected playback

The "selected playback" occurs only in the case where both subjects, male and female are "selected". The minimum age of the subjects on the day of mating must be for the male of 24 months and for the Female of 20 months.

The title of the selected breeder is given to the subject enrolled in the ROI who, in official events Sas, has obtained THE SELECTION which includes the following points / tests:

  • The selected breeder must be checked for the most significant hereditary diseases: therefore, the exemption from DYSPLASIA of the hip and elbow is certified (HD-ED)
  • DNA is deposited.
  • During a race MEETING, he is judged SUITABLE from a morphological and behavioral point of view according to the standards, obtaining at least the qualification of "very good".
  • A concise analytical description of the subject is released.
  • Pass the RESISTANCE test
  • Pass the test of WB Test and BH
  • Obtain at least the IGP1 job patent

Supplementary breed certificate

The "supplementary breed certificate" also known as CIR is an additional document that the SAS issues to the selected breeder only at the request of the breeder of the litter or the owner of the individual subject.

The CIR aims to contain all the information concerning the dog in a single document: from his offspring to the selection and work patents he earned during his life.

For that reason, unlike the pedigree (which will always remain the only document certifying registration in the herd book), Cir can be requested, modified or updated throughout the dog's life / career by expressly requesting the SAS for the replacement and then reprinting the document of a different color when the parents and / or grandparents will obtain the requirements to obtain the cir of a higher color.

The pink pedigree

The release of the "Rosa" pedigree by Enci (the only body that can issue a pedigree in Italy) certifies that when the pedigree is printed, the parents and grandparents of the puppies are selected subjects and are registered as "selected breeders" at the Enci.

The breeder then sends all the necessary documentation to the Enci office to request the "pink pedigree".

Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)

Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) it is a serious condition affecting the spinal cord, first described in the German Shepherd in 1973.

Studies carried out in subsequent years have shown that many dog breeds are subject to DM and especially large dogs., but it has also been found in non-purebred subjects.
This disease usually affects dogs between the ages of 5 e i 14 years without showing a preference for sex.

DM affects through a progressive and irreversible interruption of nerve stimuli from the limbs to the brain and vice versa causing the animal's total inability to walk and therefore euthanasia.

Symptoms appear as a slight weakness of the posterior train which was often attributed to one of the many pathologies of orthopedic and neurological origin affecting the posterior train., which dysplasia, cauda equina and various spinal compression syndromes of traumatic or tumor origin.

Many years of studies and researches have made it possible to identify particular emerging symptoms and therefore an accurate diagnostic protocol. We proceed with an examination of the gait through which various anomalies can be found that can be traced back to an orthopedic problem, neurological or morphological construction.

The DM DNA test allows to identify the breeders and adapt the mounts to produce dogs free of Degenerative Myelopathy.

Our breeding has mares in perfect health and therefore free from DM.

Frequent questions

The purpose of the Selection is to ensure the use in breeding of subjects possessing those morphological and character skills that allow them to breed while maintaining the characteristics of the standard and to work for the improvement of the breed.

The selection test consists of:

  1. Character judgment
  2. Indifference to the shot
  3. Lead to the hiding place
  4. Sudden attack and execution
  5. Defense of the dog to the handler "attack launched"
  6. Morphological judgment
  7. Measurements
  8. Judgment while standing and in motion

The first selection it has a duration of two years; the dog must be introduced to the Riselezione during the last year of validity.
If the Judge reconfirms the Selection, it will be released for life, also called Korung for life (in German)

Reselection is necessary for both competitive and reproductive purposes.

The publication of data relating to dogs suitable for breeding will be a fundamental document for breeders, both as regards the character and as regards the morphology. It is a tool that a conscientious breeder cannot do without.

All the subjects of the Real Nardi Breeding have obtained or are in preparation for work patents and are regularly presented for selection.

Currently all the subjects present on the farm are hd / ed normal, exempt degenerative myelopathy and all have Korung.
